I had always wanted to step in the field of designing and art. Recently, I have found a very nice partner who was willing to achieve this dream too. Our dream is to create a whole new brand by ourselves. This patner is very talented in art, and draws different designs in a very sketchy way as if it was about to get made by the hands of the manufacturers and sold in shops. I have several different that is about to be portayed by this friend’s hands through a pencil. Our brand name is going to be “Pencil” and there are numerous reasons behind it and one of the many reason is because from a single stick of wood, a pencil, comes the world’s most great designs and art. Pencil is the basic outline of all art, music, architechtures, and many more. That is how my partner and I cam up with the name. Please stay tuned for more information about this project!

Mathematical Love:
Me + you
Its like doing simple math like 1+2
Baby I can give you the perfect sensation
Like solving mathematical equations
Find the X & Y and them relations
Never ending like irrational equations
Don’t you wanna love like pi
Covered in mystery, all I know is 3.1415
I want you in my life, when we grow up I want you as my wife
I need you like a TV needs a satellite, I want you so bad like a camel light
Im failing math right now, but I’m sure I can get this right
If our love was a mathematical problem
I wouldn’t hesitate even a little bit to solve em’
파랑새하늘밑에 힌구름위에

Why the Poor stays poor and the Rich stays rich in an Capitalistic Society and how that Effects the Economy.
May 28th, 2009 by noga
In a capitalistic economy, the riches stay rich and the poor stays poor. The government doesn’t care whether one is poor or not, but only about how much tax they can get from the citizens. A huge point to consider nowadays in a capitalistic society is the neglection of social welfare from the government. The government leaves the businesses alone, which means that if one becomes broke due to a failure of business, the government is not there to back you up or even pat you on the back. We have collected information’s from http://www.fiji.gov.fj/cgi-bin/cms/exec/view.cgi/44/3674 that the social services are being neglected because of the increasing wages and salaries, the increasing GDP. This means that the poor who don’t make money, are not helped, and the government, even though they know the fact that they know that these people need social services, will neglect it just because the governmental cost on running their own government. Everybody basically revolves around money because it’s the only thing that basically gives one power to do what they desire or provide one their necessities. In certain countries such as China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and many other countries, the workers are being exploited with not enough wage, but the government is not beside them to support their daily needs such as food, clothing, medication and education. I would like to quote something that was written by Che Guavara in the Marxist Revolutionary, “The world is hungry but lacks the money to buy food; and paradoxically, in the underdeveloped world, in the world of the hungry, possible ways of expanding food production are discouraged in order to keep prices up, in order to be able to eat. This is the inexorable law of the philosophy of plunder, which must cease to be the rule in relations between peoples”.” What this quote sais is that even though there are workers who are not provided with enough wage for their necessities, the world, which is the government in this case, doesn’t provide much services because if they do, it will interfere with several company’s businesses by providing the materials for free.
Now, I would like to explain how the poor stays poor and the rich stays rich and how this hurts the economy. This is because as the economy proceeds, and the government printing more and more money, the poor don’t have enough money to even start business nor keep up with the increasing inflation rate, so they have no choice but to stay poor. On the other hand, the wealthy people who has enough money to invest and own private property, will stay rich because they can make money with the money that they already have and also, follow the inflation rate. I would also like to mention about the inflation for the rich and the deflation of the poor and why it hurts the economy. The graph that is presented by http://online.wsj.com/media/info-poverty0604-richpoor.gif, we found out that since the year 1969 until the year 2004, the comparison of the rich as the poor drastically changed. Even though the number of poor decreased from around 13% to 11%, the percentage of the rich has increased from 4% to 19%. This means that the price of the goods that were cheaper in the 1969s, has increased, which effected the 11% of people who are below the poverty line. This will hurt the economy because the system of Capitalism, mentioned by http://dontfearthetruth.com/2009/04/01/inflation-for-the-rich-deflation-for-the-poor/ adjusts the prices of goods depending on the incomes of the citizens, which means that the price of materials will go up, due to the increasing number of the rich. In a website called http://www.globalissues.org/article/26/poverty-facts-and-stats, we have collected information’s that atleast 80% of the world’s population lives under $10 a day. I would also like to mention about the fact that the poorest 40% of the poorest population makes up 5% of the global income, while the 20% of the rich ones make ¾ of the worlds income. If this keeps to continue, then the system will have to adjust the price to the poor, which will cause deflation. If deflation is caused, although it sounds like it will help the rich people, it will hurt them because the cost of houses, cars and stocks that used to cost more, will go down. http://dontfearthetruth.com/2009/04/01/inflation-for-the-rich-deflation-for-the-poor/ also mentions that if this happens, the banks, IBs, and the investors will be affected too since the % of the interest loan will decrease and because of that, the economy will start to fall. I would like to remind the opposition and the audiences that this is the main reason why the global economic crisis happened.

Diesel clothes
May 28th, 2009 by noga
Diesel, one of the most casually worn clothes in the U.S. is very popular here in South Korea. I have noticed and will like to share some of the reasons why the clothes from Diesel is popular to the Asian Nations. The reason why Dielsel has increased over the few years in Korea is because of the design, but not entirely because of the apparel. Diesel, although expensive, it is unlike brands such as Armani, Dolce and Gabbana, Prada, and etc. so wider range of age buys the product. I would like to share with you my favorite products and the reasons behind it.
Hats

I personally like this hat because amongst the other beanies, this particular one is very simple, but stylish. This beanie is very flexible, which allows comfortable feelings when you put it on your head, but is also very firm, which will make you feel like the hat is not going to be blown away by the wind. The “D” on the beanie is very distinctive too. It symbolizes the “D” in “Diesel” and is one of the trade marks of the company.I personally own this beanie and I will give it a 4/5, because the overall style and the comfort is good, but is very hot to wear during the summer.
Sunglasses

The Diesel Sunglasses are very well designed. Most of them are stunner shades like the one above. I chose this sunglass as my favorite, because of the stylish color that inhibits the lenses as well as the white strip that borders the round lenses. Stunner shades are very easy to put on, take off, and are very popular among the young generations. Get one of these, and you’ll look like a rapper, or a R&B singer!! I own something similar to this model, but I recommend any diesel glasses that portrays something like the one above! 5/5
necklace

A very nice piece of Jewelry by Diesel. notice that there are silver pieces of “DIESEL” on the side and the front left? its about time people stopped wearing necklaces that has a chain and a center piece and focus more on the concept of “unbalance.” This necklace is very easy to put on, take off, and has a very solid weight, which makes the user feel like they have something precious on their neck. I think that this product was very well designed and that you check it out! 4/5 because since these necklaces are very fragile due to the double chained front, it is kinda easy to break, but the rest is superb!
Jackets

This is one of the most popular jackets in Korea! They are the men’s Jestroit jackets. This jacket that I bought in the U.S. is worn by many Korean singers such as Chunhee (천희) and Daesung from Big Bang (대성, 빅뱅). The theme of this jacket is supposidly biker style, but i believe that it is very natural and casual to wear on jeans. It has three pockets, two on each side of the jacket and one on the chest. It also has a Diesel trade mark on the left top corner of the jacket, which is very stylish and again, casual. I would give this jacket a 5/5 since it is really warm in the winter, cool during summer, and very comfortable to wear!
Shirts

Not a t-shirt, not a long sleeve, but a shortsleeved collar shirt. What’s so special about this? nothing much really, its just that there is a large hexagon in the middle that portrays a new direction for the future of Diesel, the camoflauged “D” in the left top corner of the shirt, and last, but not least, the shirt is structured so that the body line will look like ) ( <–this. This shirt is one of my favourite because in the summer, it is very cool and comfortable to wear and during winter, this shirt can be worn with a long-sleve on the bottom, which makes you stylish and warm! 5/5 flawless!! ^_^
Pants

In the Diesel Market, there are different jean’s names and this one is called the “Zaghor.” One of my favorite pants, because it is very casual, comfortable, and it makes your leg look longer. This pants, is made of soft materials, which makes you feel as if you are wearing your pajamas ^ ^. This pants is very popular and is one of the newest branches that opened in the jeans section.
These were only few of my suggestion to buy if you are thinking of starting a stylish life. I hope this will give you the brief Idea on how the clothes will be like when you purchase them. Thank you.

Why grades dont really affect your future and dreams…
April 9th, 2009 by noga
Fellow friends, parents, underclassmen, and upperclassmen. I would just like to mention that This blog is very philosophical and is not always true so please dont attack me about it and listen as an open minded person.
When I came to Korea, or even before, i had a GPA that was well over 3.6, but didnt care at all because I always believed that one’s dreams and future is determined by the amount of work you put in towards achieving those goals and not just studying so that you can have a “successful” future. I imagined one day, of a person whose dream was to get into a good college and had been studying from when he was a little boy. That person will study day and night, weeks and months, years and years, until he will recieve the GPA he wanted. He takes 3 APs, have taken 4 in the past, all the teachers like him and his parents are really strict. I also imagined what he would do if he was rejected from his dream college. Another person in this world who was shattered into pieces by one lousy letter written probably by a very old man, a dean who drinks tea, in his opened windowed office, while admiring the view of the campus, sending 100s of rejecting letters until he comes accross a random letter and letting that student enter the college based on his or her grades. Ridiculous. After the student gets rejected from the college, basically, he has nothing left in his life. He doesnt have any friends because he didnt hang out with any of them to get his GPA up. He doesnt have a dream anymore maybe because it got shattered right infront of his face couple of second ago. He doesn’t have a helping hand from anyone except for his family who are supportive, but also mad that you couldnt get into that college. This is how people either end up in a small office, accounting other people’s money, waiting for another chance to knock on their door.

Do you really want to live like that???
If one enjoys their childhood, the benefits are going to come back. Obviously, you will have more friends than people who only studies. You will have more “connection” with many other people who may help you in the future. All my friends are very kind, friendly, fun, and most of all, trustful. I dont know about them, but if we grow up and anyone of them were in trouble, I would help them in every sort of way that I can.
Well, here is how I imagine life to be. I think that education is necessary, but shouldnt be graded. Why do we have to fail a student just because he or she is not good at subject. I know that there are lots of people in this world and we have to judge them constantly to see whose better than the other, but honestly, what is the point? Every one in this world probably has a dream and their goals are to achieve it, so why not just let them? I want to be an artist or a designer. I dont know why, but I think that the color coordination and the balance between the upper clothing and the pants are really interesting. Some might say that I am not very straight (homosexual), but I know that designers dont have to be Gay to do what they want to. In the field of fashion, grades are not really required so I dont really need a high GPA to achieve my goals. Its not that I dont care, but its not like if GPA is everything in my life. I guess grades help, but not always. look at ourself right now, is grade your life and does your life revolve around your grades? If it does, Good luck!

Good bye Keanu…
March 29th, 2009 by noga
I have a friend. His name is keanu Tacluyan. he just with drawled from KIS and is moving to California with his grandparents. Let me talk about him from the first time I met him.
When I first heard that a new student was coming in our school I honestly thought that person was another “normal” person and that he or she wasnt going to be close with me and my friends, but I was wrong. Everyone talked about him at first, I heard things like “have you heard about this Keanu guy?? Hes damn funny yo~~~!!” and I thought, “Keanu? what he thinks he’s a movie star?” and didnt really care. When I first saw him, I found that he was half filipino, 1/3 korean, and 1/3 American. I was like dang~!!! we got a new decent!!! and didnt really talk to him.
I still remember the first time we had a conversation…I said, “Move! what the heck are you doing standing there?” I know it was wrong to scream like that for no reason, but i didnt really care because I thought he was another “wannabe” from America.
As time went by, I found out that he was way cooler than I thought, so we started haging out with him. We shouldnt have. Not because of who he was, but because of what happened to him. If we weren’t close to him, he would have studied harder.
These few days, during spring break…I have realized how much of a great friend Keanu is. His parents should be proud to have a son like that and I mean it rom the bottom of my heart.
PS. Keanu if you are reading this, take care of yourself! I guess we wont have sleep overs nor talk about girls for a long time. I hope you find new friends there in California and stay safe. Remember the things I’ve told you! remember the white couch in my living room! the white carpet in my bedroom, the one you always lied down on! remember how much of a fun person you were, and lastly, remember that you are an important friend to me as much any other guys in our clan. Remember that we will always miss you and welcome you every time you visit…Keanu you graduate…good bye. Stay away from drugs and all the bad things out there in the world. I believe you man…See you in summer. Keanu…you graduate…from your dearest friend…NOGA (Sensei)

What is love?
March 29th, 2009 by noga
I often ask my self…what is love? love is in the dictionary:
an intense feeling of deep affection : babies fill parents with intense feelings of love | their love for their country.
• a deep romantic or sexual attachment to someone : it was love at first sight | they were both in love with her | we were slowly falling in love.
• ( Love) a personified figure of love, often represented as Cupid.
• a great interest and pleasure in something : his love for football | we share a love of music.
• affectionate greetings conveyed to someone on one’s behalf.
• a formula for ending an affectionate letter : take care, lots of love, Judy.
2 a person or thing that one loves : she was the love of his life | their two great loves are tobacco and whiskey.
• Brit., informal a friendly form of address : it’s all right, love.
• ( a love) Brit., informal used to express affectionate approval for someone : don’t fret, there’s a love.
3 (in tennis, squash, and some other sports) a score of zero; nil : love fifteen | he was down two sets to love. [ORIGIN: apparently from the phrase play for love (i.e., the love of the game, not for money); folk etymology has connected the word with French l'oeuf ‘egg,’ from the resemblance in shape between an egg and a zero.]
verb [ trans. ]
feel a deep romantic or sexual attachment to (someone) : do you love me?
• like very much; find pleasure in : I’d love a cup of tea, thanks | I just love dancing | [as adj., in combination ] ( -loving) a fun-loving girl.
but what does this really mean? I watched movies like “The notebook,” “sex drive,” for crying out loud, even “American Pie” and I see “love” in all of these movies. I fell in love before, havent you? So what exactly is love? i dont go around researching what love is, so let me tell you from my experience. I see that some people see love as a distraction to their academic status, or even to their jobs, but without love, i dont think one can survive. I cannot tell when I am in love, but eventually I can because of the actions I take. When I am in love, it feels as if I can fly. I want to see that person, constantly as if I was addicted to her and want to hear her voice every morning like when birds churp out side your window sills during the warm summer days. When I look at that person’s pictures, I can hear her laughing and smiling as if she was in front of me. Love drives me crazy as it probably does to others. I can write this blog, only because I have actually been in love and also because I think that love is what keeps us strong and alive. Love that doesnt work out, crushes one to the ground, steps on him or her as if he was the apgujeong station’s platform, stepped on by millions of people. What it also does, is that it makes an indivuidual stronger. Teaches one to throw away fear and move on with their life. Love is not only about a man and a woman having a relationship. Its life itself. What do you think?

Love – Fall
March 29th, 2009 by noga
Fall Fall Fall,
when the trees stand tall
you can see the leaves fall
in front of the shopping mall
People often see
that love is not a need
But cant you really SEE?
Love is all we need
you need love to work
you need love to hate
Without love you’re just a jerk
throwing away your fate.
Fall is the season when you can see
alphabet like A, B, C.
numbers like 1, 2, 3.
Love is all around me.

Spring Break…
March 29th, 2009 by noga
WOW!! I mean WOW! hahahaha this spring break was so chill~~ I cant believe that its already over. I hung out with friends aeveryday, slept, ate, met new people and was so amazing. Although there were some upsetting events, I strongly passed through and found out that I was worth more than what I was doing. I even woke up to go to a church….fine! I went to meet someone, but come on! -_^ I felt very relaed during this break and also realized through the course of events that I was very gifted and was taking things for granted. I found out that friends are really important because they are always by one’s side to support another when they need it. I think I experienced alot during this spring break, and am looking forward to the next vacation!!! ^>^

People based on numbers.
March 12th, 2009 by noga
We do people always have to be graded and viewd by their numbers? Numbers such as GPA, weight, height, the amount of money one owns, how many times one has gone out with a girl, etc. From the day I moved to Korea, I found out that people here only care about their grades…I mean come on. GPA determine whether you are going to go to a good college or not, and after all, the only reason why one wants to go to a good college is, again, because they want to make money to impress who? Them selves and to the public who will be jealous towards them. Even the companies decide whether to hire a person based on their academic skills and how “good” of a person they are, based only off of one’s graes. People sometimes care too much about the “amount” instead of the “value.” Additionally, to make another statement, arent schools and colleges there to teach one how to live instead of how to make money? I have always wondered that because people around me are really competitive towards getting into a good school and succeeding in life. I currently have a GPA that is under 3 and I’m honestly not embarrassed because I love my life. I care about getting good grades and trying hard (seriously) , but sometimes people forget that they are living for now and not for the future. I mean think about it! If you live for the future, in the future, your going to live for the further futuer and will never be able to find joy in their life! All I am trying to say is that the society is becmoing a mess right now and one of the reason is because of economy. People want to make money so much that they study too hard in their highschool year to get their GPA (number) up to get into a good college, and when they actually do succeed, they look back and see that they have wasted their time. Honestly, just because I have a low GPA, doesnt’t make me a total idiot that cant think and decide based on my intelligence. You only get one life……..think about it….We study so hard that we start to bleed from our nose, succeed, and what next? or is making money really succeeding? Because my dream is to marry the woman that I fall in love with, have a couple of children, live in an average house, and make enough money to live through my family’s and my life. If we struggle, we struggle as a family, and if we are happy, share the happiness with my family…..isnt that real happiness? Is that really not enough?
